In a heartbreaking incident in Budhana town, Muzaffarnagar district, a high-speed truck collided with an e-rickshaw, resulting in the deaths of a woman and her young son. Additionally, seven other individuals sustained injuries in the crash, as reported by local authorities on Saturday.
According to police officer Gajendra Pal Singh, the accident occurred near the Khatauli turn on Saturday. Emergency responders arrived promptly at the scene and transported the injured to the district hospital for treatment.
The deceased have been identified as 35-year-old Chand Bibi, the wife of Arif, and their three-year-old son, Ali. Following the incident, the truck driver fled the scene, abandoning the vehicle. The police have sent the bodies for post-mortem examinations and are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident.
